Our society has led us to believe that money will get you anything: from fancy cars to a trip to Mars, a one-way ticket with a complimentary glass of champagne. And while the former is mostly true, the latter one is not that easy.
Take it from Sim Kern, a climate fiction writer, enviro-journalist and spouse of a NASA flight controller. In an eye-opening Twitter thread which went viral, amassing 152k likes and counting, Sim listed all the reasons why money won’t get the billionaires up to space.
“So this billionaire ‘space race’ is nothing more than a measuring contest between Musk, Bezos, and Branson,” stated Sim, referring to the egocentric and “delusional” attitudes of the super rich.
