Memes are not just funny images that make us laugh from time to time. Some would argue that memes are a way of life. But if we were to take this "way of life" notion to the extreme, one would have to imagine memes living somewhere. And Dutch artist Maurice Van Berkel imagined a project where this idea came to fruition. His project is about memes living in the same apartment building where they sometimes even interact with each other. We highly recommend checking out the Instagram page—scroll to the bottom and then go upwards for the greatest effect.
Here's what the artist had to say to Bored Panda about the project: "I started this project 2 years ago, I just wanted to create a page with a different view. When I saw the Instagram grid, I had the idea of an apartment. After that, I decided it would be good to let the most famous memes live in it."
