Guy Creates Thermal Imaging Video Showing How The Body Loses Heat In Cold Weather

People of YouTube have proved many times that even the most ordinary things can appear extremely cool and exciting when showed from some kind of a different point of you. This video created by a YouTube channel BBC Earth Unplugged is a really good example of that.

One of the creators of the channel named Oli Martin has filmed a video using a thermal imaging camera to show how the human body loses its heat when exposed to the cold.

Let’s take a look!

“Using the military spec Selex Merlin thermal imaging camera, Oli Martin vividly shows how the human body loses heat when exposed to the blistering cold of the Scottish highlands,” reads the description of the video.

At the beginning of the video, the guy stands in front of the camera wearing a full-on winter outfit. Then he starts taking off his clothes bit by bit, showing how the temperature of his body is changing.

“The spots on my skin are caused by falling snow hitting my body and cooling it down”

In the beginning, you can see that his body is all red which means that it’s warm. But then as time passes and snow hits him, his body turns yellow and then green, indicating that the body is cooling down.

“This thermal-imaging camera allows you to vividly see how cold conditions could be so perilous”

Later, he takes a handful of snow, forms a snowball out of it and put his cold hand on his chest. After the man removes his hand from the skin, you can see that it has left a green handprint on his chest.

And it looks oddly fascinating
