J.K. Rowling Shares The Breathing Technique That Helped Her Deal With Coronavirus Symptoms

In light of the coronavirus outbreak ravaging the world, we all surely worry the most about people closest to us. Nonetheless, it’s always heartbreaking to see the news of our favorite celebs and childhood heroes getting infected as well.

Luckily, this story is not really one of those and is a bit more like a silver lining in the dim sky. Turns out, the author of everyone’s childhood favorite Harry Potter series, J.K. Rowling has not only fully recovered from the virus but also has some great advice to offer to those suffering from respiratory symptoms.

The author of the famous Harry Potter series, J.K. Rowling recently took to Twitter to confirm she’s fully recovered from coronavirus

In her recent tweet, the famous Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling revealed that she had coronavirus symptoms for the past two weeks. She revealed she’s fully recovered now and credits her speedy recovery to the breathing technique shared by Doctor Sarfaraz Munshi from Queen’s hospital in Romford, UK.

Dr. Sarfaraz Munshi said that patients don’t have to wait long to start with this breathing technique. Those self-isolating at home with the symptoms can also benefit and may even work as a coronavirus prevention method. “While you have an active infection, you need to be getting a good amount of air into the bases of your lungs. The only way you are going to do that is by having a technique,” he said.

Dr. Sarfaraz Munshi also explained that “The majority of your lung is on your back, not on the front. By lying on your back, you’re closing off more of the smaller airways and this is not good during a period of infection. [It can] lead to atelectasis. This can then lead to a secondary pneumonia. It’s very important that you guys understand this.”

People flooded the comment section with kind wishes and Harry Potter references
