While it’s all sunshine and rainbows on most wedding days, some are particularly so. And it’s all due to the people not being afraid to step a little bit out of the box sometimes. That’s exactly what this Tennessee couple did when they finally tied the knot after dating for 2 years. Even though flower girls are usually associated with cute little girls, this time the bride decided she would get her four lovely grandmas involved by honoring them with this duty. Gladly, they all were really excited about this unconventional twist, so they surely accepted and it turned out to be just the cutest thing!

As John Lennon once said, “Love is the flower you’ve got to let grow”. And so they did, and so their love brought Tennessee couple Tanner and Lyndsey Raby to the altar on September 22nd this year. But no wedding ever passes without a little bit of surprise, so it’s safe to say this celebration was no exception.

This time it was all because of the lovely bride who came up with an adorable idea of how to honor and get the four grandmothers of her hubby-to-be and her more involved. She said she knew she wanted to do that from the moment she got engaged. “I felt so blessed to have them all here so I wanted them to be involved too,” said Lyndsey. So she made them her flower girls!

One could think that elderly people might not be so keen on such a playful twist but these four lovely ladies were all up for joining the bridal party. After all, Lyndsey assured it wouldn’t feel complete if it was otherwise, so they all joined in and happily took up the flower petal baskets with writings “Here comes the bride” on each of them.

The photographer who captured them, Natalie Caho, shared a photo of them on her Instagram, noting that she’s seen a lot of cute flower girls in her day “but these four gals take the cake”. She also added that “Most girls are lucky to even have one grandmother present. And the fact that [Lyndsey] had four was a big deal that she wanted to savor.” The four ladies sure made the Raby’s wedding day a lot more special.
