A couple’s first trip is one of those things that can determine whether or not they have a (bright) future. Because at the end of the day, dealing with unexpected problems is pretty much what relationships are all about. So when Lex, 25, was about to embark upon a road trip with her new boyfriend, she couldn’t be more excited.
“We were dating for about 3 months then,” Lex told Bored Panda. “We travel often so a road trip early on in the relationship wasn’t a big deal for us.” However, that was before he accidentally abandoned her at a gas station in the middle of nowhere.

The tiny hiccup aside, the two of them had an awesome trip

“Something like this has never happened to me before or since then,” Lex added. “After that, the trip was amazing. We had great scenery all along the way, camped on beautiful beaches every night in Mexico (we drove down the Baja Peninsula and looped back around), went on great hikes, went diving, ate great food and met some really cool locals.”
