Doctors see pretty messed up stuff on a daily basis. Injuries, gruesome and fatal, are their reality. But they witness beautiful things as well. Recently, someone on Quora asked “What is the most amazing thing you’ve ever seen as an ER doctor?” and oh Hippocrates did they deliver. One answer, however, stood above the rest. Germany-based psychiatrist Mikka Luster shared a story about the time he witnessed a menacing gang of bikers befriending a tiny 6-year-old and it will remind you to not judge a book by its cover.
