Simone Giertz, creator of 'Shitty Robots,' reveals she has a brain tumor

In a somber video uploaded on Monday, Simone Giertz, a YouTuber who has made many, many "shitty robots," announced that she has been diagnosed with a brain tumor.

Giertz has been experiencing swelling behind her right eye for a year that she initially thought was allergies. But recently, she found it was actually a golf ball-sized tumor. 

Giertz said that the tumor is non-cancerous, though its large size means that she will have to have it removed with "pretty extensive brain surgery." She faces many possible health impacts, including loss of vision in her right eye and seizures. 

She took the time to share her appreciation for her family, friends, and her YouTube viewers. Then, in classic Giertz fashion, veered immediately into joking about her condition.  Read more...
